Sing Lei & Mei Xuan promise to take care of and to be there for one another forever. Holding hands walking down the aisle, with showers of rose petals and blessings, as husband and wife, with the promise of tender love and care eternally.

The Introduction
Sing Lei & Mei Xuan decided to tie the knot and planned for a simple, yet memorable wedding on 18th October 2009. Thanks to the bride's sister, Mei Yan, we got to meet the both of them in Bugis. After knowing them better, we realise they wanted something simple for their upcoming celebration, with a theme using pink as their main colour.

We, as wedding planners from Will You Marry Me, are proud to be part of their memories on this special day when the two celebrate their love with their loved ones.

The Gate Crash

A little drizzle didn't stop Sing Lei from fetching his bride! With his grand arrival in his wedding car, a Silver Mercedes S-Class sedan, he is indeed determined to win the hand of his bride. Together with his 4 brothers, specially dressed in pink, gave a victory sign and headed up to her house in Potong Pasir.

The sisters, led by her own sister Mei Yan, welcomed them cheekily at the doorstep and immediately without any mercy, they demanded for an ang bao. Groom Sing Lei gave in, but, with a $8 ang bao! The sisters went questioning him on Mei Xuan's worth and indeed, it made everyone burst laughing with tears.

To further express his sincerity for Mei Xuan, the Sisters served them a milk bottle with bitter tea. Surprisingly, the brothers quite like the taste! Up next, the sisters fed them with sour spicy preserved vegetables through the gate and left many of them choking and coughing. It was indeed spicy!

With a board and red rose petals, the sisters left the creativity to him. Without much hestitation, he started to form the words, I YOU, on the board. After signing off to his dearest Bride, he started singing the chorus from the song "Have I Told You Lately That I Love You" by Rob Stewart at the corridor.

With his wonderful voice, it won the hearts of the sisters and they were served with the last challenge for the day. A half sliced watermelon, with a key stuck right at the bottom, was handed to the brothers. With 5 big spoons, the brothers went eating as fast as possible! Before the watermelon could be finish, Sing Lei managed to pull the key out of the watermelon.

Upon entering Mei Xuan's bedroom, he signed a love contract, read it out loud outside and opened the door with excitement. There was Mei Xuan, by her bed in her beautiful white gown, waiting for a kiss from her prince charming.

It was indeed an exciting morning and we enjoyed ourself during the gate crash! Shortly after the tea ceremony, the couple headed to Grand Copthorne Waterfront hotel for their preparation and rehearsal for tonight's final event, the wedding banquet!

The Wedding Banquet
The banquet dinner was at Marriot's Grand Copthorne Waterfront's ballroom, which had large windows with views of lush green gardens right outside. Right up the stairs at their reception, a spacious and cosy area to mingle around while the bar counter serve beverages to their guest waiting.

Arriving guest penned down their well wishes on a guestbook filled with their photos. The couple had their wedding photo ablums at the reception for their guest to see while waiting for the banquet to start.

The ballroom was filled with red and purple table clothes, with a nice spread of pink and red roses in the ballroom. Tea candles form the backdrop with a gorgeous garden feel. It was simple yet elegant, just as what Mei Xuan wanted, a dream pink romance for her wedding.

As a prelude to their first march-in, the couple showed a montage of their childhood to dating journey. The whole atmosphere was light hearted and warm by their love story. The couple proceeded with their traditional cake cutting ceremony.

After the 2nd march-in and champagne toasting, the couple surprised their family and friends with a heart warming speech. It was heart warming while they shared their deepest appreciation to their family members.
